Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is your hair gel gluten free?
A. Yes it is gluten free. Our "base" ingredient is Flax Seed. And the rest are essential oils. Therefore, none of our ingredients have gluten. See below for more details on our all natural ingredients.
Q. What are the preservatives used in this hair gel?
A. Eucalyptus oil, Tea Tree oil, and Vitamin E are the key all-natural ingredients used as preservatives in our hair gel. We've been very deliberate in not wanting to use any preservative out there that are chemically derived or that your kids can't pronounce!
Q. Since its "all natural" what is the shelf life and how do I extend it?
A. The tested shelf life is 4 months if its sitting in room temperature. Based on the amount per bottle, we believe a consumer will need to replenish in about 2 to 3 months. Since we use all natural chemical free ingredients, the "con" is reduced shelf life. That said, if you are not a daily user then we suggest you refrigerate the bottle which will extend its life by several months.
Q. Is your hair gel safe to use on kids?
A. If you view our about us page you will see the "origin" story and how this product was created with toddlers in mind. So yes its safe and surely safer than the alternative hair gels out there which are advertised for kids and yet have alcohol and other chemicals in them. As with any cosmetic product, we suggest you do a spot allergy test on the person using the product before applying it regularly in larger quantity.
Q. Is your hair gel hypoallergenic?
A. Yes! Our all natural hair gel has been dermatologist tested and approved! That said, we highly recommend you conduct a spot allergy reaction test before using our product regularly.
Q. What makes your product unique?
A. In addition to providing you with a completely chemical free hair gel, Flaxin Organic hair gel provides your hair with vital protection from the elements (like UV from the sun), nourishment and vitamins to your scalp, and is a lice deterrent for your toddler's scalp. Our key ingredients have also shown to stimulate and promote hair follicle growth where counterpart hair gels block and damage hair growth in the long run.
Q. What essential oils do you use in your hair gel?
A. We use coconut oil, rosemary oil, tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil, and sweet orange oil to give it a zesty fragrance.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Unfortunately not yet! For now, our focus is to gain the trust of and grow our presence in United States audiences.
